There's no place like home...

by Channing

As most of you are aware, Kelby and I are buying a house! I cannot wait for it to be finished. It feels like these last five months have taken FOREVER...for me anyway. Over the weekend, we went to see how it was coming along. I was only expecting to see some cabinets in, but HOLY MOLY...the thing had carpet in it already!!! This means that what's left is appliances and finishing touches, such as lighting, door knobs, fixing dings, and that's about it!! It is finally coming to an end! Hallelujah! When we first picked everything out, I was really pleased on our selections, but then I started to think about it, and I was really regretting the color of carpet, the paint, the cabinets...but when we went to the house this weekend and saw it all being put together, I absolutely LOVE it! I cannot wait until we sign those papers and they hand over the key!

Here's a few of the pictures...
The front of the house still needs shutters and lights...

The fireplace..it's missing the mantle

I absolutely love how this turned out!  Black appliances will soon
be added to tie it all together!  It's going to look amazing!

I think they accidentally gave us an upgraded sink faucet =] Woopsy.

Here's the loft.  It's not the kind of loft everyone thinks it is...it doesn't "loft" over anything,
it's basically just an upstairs living room.  But it will be soo nice to have it.

...the hall bath...

This is a spare bedroom/office.  We're going to use it as an office for the
time being, but we'll eventually turn it into the spare bedroom.

This is the future office, but Kelsey and Patrice picked this
room as their room...so it will be a bedroom for now =]

Tada!  The master bedroom...I love the double windows.

...and last, but definitely not least, the master closet.  This picture does
not even come close to doing the size justice. I am really
looking forward to having this closet!
So that's our house!  We are so very excited to be living here within the next couple of weeks.  They've estimated our close date for the 18th of September.  Unfortunately, it's a Friday, so we probably won't get the keys until the following week, but either way...we can't wait!
