Most of you know, because I brag about it all the time… I sit at work for 8 hours of the day, with the world of time on my hands. So Kelby and I took up blogging. I just want to say “Thank you” to Kelby for getting the blog started; it looks amazing! Thank you Kelby! Anyway, because I sit for so long at work, today I found myself blog stalking random people…people I don’t even know! But I came across Laura and Michael’s blog (thanks Jenna!), and she had this really fun post on there. So I thought I would post this on our blog. It seems like a good way to kick off our blog and let everyone know all about us!! Here goes…
What are your
middle names? His full name is Kelby James
Teeter. I love saying his first and middle name together; it sounds like a southern
name…Kelby James….ha! Mine is Channing
Colby Nye, I don’t usually tell anyone that, so be glad that I just announced
it to anyone who cares to read this.
How long have you been together? We have been together for 5 1/2 years! Time flies when you’re having fun :]
How long did you
know each other before you started dating? Hmm…I would say probably two years. I went to school with his roommate. So I was always over at his house, but he was
dating someone else. I had a crush on
him from the moment he said he liked Boondock Saints :] It’s one of my favorite movies. He even
helped me get my first job at Lagoon!
Aww…It was fate…
Who asked whom out? Oooh, that’s a tough one…It was probably more
of a mutual thing. We just kind of
started hanging out a lot. But he was
the one that asked me to be his “girlfriend” :]
So cute!
How old are each of you? He will be 26 in 22 days!! I cannot wait for his birthday! I loove birthdays! To me, it is the most important day of your life! It is the day you are brought to this earth
(not counting the 9 months in a belly)…so I like to celebrate them! And I am 23 ½!
Whose siblings do
you see the most? We each only have one
brother, and considering mine is in Africa volunteering for the Peace Corps, I
think we see his brother more =] But if
you count in my two half sisters, we definitely see them more.
Which situation is the hardest on you
as a couple? Maybe this question should
be “Which situation have you actually agreed on?” haha. I’m just kidding. We are total opposites, so we already
automatically disagree on pretty much everything, but it’s usually never a huge
deal that I hold on to…but the hardest situation to date, that I can think of,
would have to be….Not spending much time together? He would probably laugh at this answer
:] But our schedules are complete
opposite, so the only time I get to see him is Saturday and Sunday, and that is
usually running errands, or hanging out with friends, so we really don’t get
much alone time.
Did you go to the same school? No sir.
He went to Roy High School, and I went to Viewmont High School. He was at Viewmont a lot, though =]
Are you from the same home town? Once again, this one will be a “no.” He grew
up in Roy, and I grew up mostly in Bountiful. Then I moved to Farmington when I
was about 16.
Who is smarter? Kelby is for sure. He knows so much! Every day, he’ll find something new to learn,
just so he can be challenged! He loves a
good challenge. His mom will completely
agree with this one. She always talks
about when he was a kid, he would use big words whenever he talked to his
brother, just so he could prove he was smarter. I can just picture him now J so
cute!
Who is the most sensitive? Haha. I
think the whole world will agree on this one…I am.
Where do you eat out most as a
couple? I don’t really like to eat
out, I think it’s a waste of money..I’m kind of frugal. But if we do eat out…probably Subway? Does fast food count? If not, then Iggy’s. That’s really the only sit down restaurant we
have gone to recently.
Where is the furthest you two have
traveled together as a couple?
Wow, this question makes me realize how lame we are…Vegas. That’s the only place we have been that’s
even out of state!
Who has the craziest exes? Neither of us.
I’m still really good friends with most of mine, and he still talks to
his occasionally.
Who has the worst temper? Well….We both can get pretty angry, but Kelby
doesn’t handle his as well, so I’ll go with Kelby…He’d probably say me though.
Who does the cooking? Since we’re living at my moms, my mom and
Jerry (my step dad) do most of the cooking…But when we did live on our own, I
would usually cook dinner, and on the weekends, he would cook breakfast! He loves to flip the eggs, or pancakes in the
air, and catch them in the pan. I love
how excited he gets when he does it.
Who is the neat-freak? If anyone knows either of us, they’d
agree…ME!!! I cannot stand messes! I am a HUGE perfectionist, so I have to have
the room clean, the bed made, the pants hung from light to dark, the shirts
hung in order of colors…yeah, definitely me!
Who is more stubborn? Me again.
Whether you believe it or not, Kelby gets pretty darn stubborn too! But I’ll just say me, to avoid the
accusations from my friends and family.
Who hogs the bed? Bambina…oh wait, can she be included in
this? If dogs don’t count, then Kelby
for sure. He has to sleep in the MIDDLE
of the bed. I always sleep on the very edge.
Who wakes up earlier? I do.
But I get more sleep than him.
He’s a night owl, so he stays up all night long, and he works super
late. So it’s justified, he’s not
“sleeping in.”
Where was your first date? You know, I’ve thought about this question for
the past few years, and I honestly cannot remember where or when our first date
was…If I had to guess, I would probably say up Farmington canyon, eating
strawberry short cake…his favorite dessert :]
Who is more jealous? I guess, probably me? But only jealous for his time! We don’t get jealous about the opposite sex
really. I wish I could spend more time
with him, but I can’t stay up as late as his friends do. So they get to hang
out with him more than I do :(
How long did it take to get serious? Haha, like a day! We always seriously loved each other, and we
were always exclusive, but I guess it didn’t get serious (as in, “I’m going to
spend the rest of my life with this person”), for probably a couple years into
the relationship.
Who eats more? We both probably eat the same.
Who does the laundry? I wash it, then he helps me put it away. No offense, but if Kelby did the laundry, we
would have 20 XX-small shirts…so I’m fine with doing it!
Who's better with the computer? We’re both pretty good at it…but, if Kelby
doesn’t know something, he’ll figure it out in a heartbeat. And if I don’t know something, I just ask
Kelby =]
Who drives when you are together? We switch off.
I like to think I drive more!
